Black History Month

Follow the history of a slave songbook and learn its origins and the significance of it to African-Americans. This video is a great resource for its history and its music education.
An excellent, interactive site about a group of activists called the Freedom Riders. Learn about the people involved, the rides they took in May of 1961, the issues they were concerned with and more. This site focusing on a lesser known group of people is an interesting way to enhance a lesson.
