Safety Posters

Click on the Web site below and choose one safety category to learn about.

Design a poster to teach others about this safety tip.

Create a poster about the safety issue you selected. You may use art supplies or painting software.

Include in your poster:
- An attention getting headline
- Tips on how to stay safe
- At least one colored picture

When finished, these posters will be shared with the class.

Lesson Name:   Safety Posters
Objective:   Students will teach their classmates about one safety tip from the Web site listed by creating a poster with a headline and picture. The poster should be no smaller than 8-1/2 by 11", and it must contain a headline and a colored picture explaining the safety tip.

Large drawing paper or Painting software
Markers, crayons, paint, colored pencils
Interactive Whiteboard Tip:   As a class, choose a couple of safety categories to go over together. Display the Web site on the interactive whiteboard and let the students come up and click on "Next" to progress the story. When students create their poster using painting software, they can share them with the class on the whiteboard.
