Go to the Web site below and choose a story to read by clicking on "Reading Comprehension." After reading the story, answer the comprehension questions.

When you are finished answering the questions, click on "Next Exercise" at the bottom of the page. Recreate the story using the selections provided. If your choice is correct, it will be added to the story. You have reached the end of the story when there are no choices remaining.

When you have finished these two activities, write two more paragraphs to continue the story. Include what you think happens next.

Interactive Whiteboard Tip:   Have students write their continuation of the story in a word processor. These can be viewed by the class on the interactive whiteboard and read aloud. The whiteboard's pen/markers can be used for proofreading and editing each story.
