Aesop Fable

Listen to the fable "The Fox and the Grapes" at the Web site below by clicking on the first blue word in each sentence. While listening, write down all the words in blue.

Write a sentence for each of the words in blue. If you don't know the meaning of a word, you can use the online dictionary.

You will practice reading these sentences and pronouncing -ed words with a partner in the class.

Interactive Whiteboard Tip:   Display the story "The Fox and the Grapes" on the interactive whiteboard for the class to read together. Have students come up to click on the words in blue. If the sentences are written in a word processor, these can also be displayed on the whiteboard to share with the class. The whiteboard's pen/markers can be used to document corrections to the sentence.
