Nouns
Nouns are words used to name a person, animal, place, or thing (for example, nurse, goat, bedroom, and apple.)
Proper nouns name a specific person, place, or thing (for example, David, New York, and Monday.) Proper nouns are capitalized.
1. Click on the "Nouns" link below.
2. Print the worksheet.
3. Look at the list of words and place them in the proper section of the table, person, place or thing.
4. When all the words have been place in the correct columns, circle the words that are proper nouns.
5. Click on the "Noun Brainstorming" link below and print the worksheet.
6. In the correct boxes, write 7 nouns and 7 proper nouns.
7. After completing the worksheets, click on the "Noun Dunk" link below to play the basketball game.
8. Click on the type of noun that is written on the basketball to get a slam dunk.
