Solid Figures Book

You will be making a book with a partner about solid or space figures. Solid figures are 3-D; they have height, length and depth. For example, a ball is a sphere. Go to the Web site below to learn about 6 kinds of solid figures.

After looking them over, take 6 pieces of drawing paper; write the name of a figure at the top of each and draw a picture of it. Then look through magazines with your partner and find pictures of objects that go with each shape. Cut out and paste the pictures on the correct pages. Try to find at least 2 pictures of each shape.

If you have trouble finding enough pictures for a shape, you can draw a picture of something that is that shape. Make a cover to put on your book with your names on it. You and your partner will be sharing your book with the class.
