Poetry Writing
Click on the first Web site and read the poem, "Louder Than a Clap of Thunder." Then, listen to the poem read with sound effects by clicking on the Quicktime link under full version.
Go to the second Web site to read examples of other poems in the categories; "Just Imagine," and "Silly Stuff."
Click on the third Web site to get some ideas on how to start writing your own poem. Using one of the brainstorming ideasWord Play, Object Observations or Synonym Sillinessuse the fourth site to help plan and write your own poem.
Your poem should be at least 5 lines long. Your poem can be written using a word processor or paper and pen.
