Pattern Blocks

Many shapes can be made by putting other shapes together. Use the pattern blocks at the Web site below to make some shapes into new shapes.

First, use the triangles to create a rhombus and a hexagon. Click on the triangle button to add it to the workspace. From there, you can click and drag to move the shape. You can also click and hold any corner to drag it and rotate the shape. If more room is needed, click on zoom out to make your shapes smaller.

After you have created the 2 shapes listed, make 1 more shape of your own using any of the pattern blocks. Draw each shape on a piece of paper, making each pattern block you used a different color and tell how you created it.
