Order of Operations

Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally

My Aunt Sally is very organized, so organized that she came up with the correct layout to solve equations. Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally (PEMDAS) is an acronym for Parentheses, Exponents, Multiply or Divide, Add or Subtract. This is the order you must follow when completing a math problem.

Go to the Web site below and click on the Tutorial; read the tutorial and take notes. Solve any problems they give you as examples. Then complete the Pre-test and calculate your score. After you calculate your score, click on the color in the bar that the Web site tells you to click on. Print the exercise set and complete it for homework. Show all of your work.
